| Our Challenge
The League newspaper is a new football publication that had never
advertised on TV before. They contacted us to make a 20 second launch
commercial to air around The Football League Review on Sky Sports,
which needed to be on air in time for the beginning of the 2005 /
2006 football season. Initial take up of the newspaper was vital if
it was to achieve its target forecasts.
Our Solution
The budget was limited and the commercial required a rapid turn around.
We had to come up with a cost effective but creative solution. The
commercial needed to communicate not only the launch of the newspaper
but also the quality and exclusivity of its content. We came up with
a simple idea so we could concentrate on communicating core information
about the project. We produced a film which looked more expensive
than it was by limiting factors which would stretch the budget.
Result
The League paper went on air with a commercial which the client felt
reflected the quality of the product, and indeed, all forecast targets
were hit by the newspaper during this launch period.
